Aisha Jamila Hinds is a well-known American actor. She is known for her role in television series The Shield, and True Blood. Since her debut in 2003, she has demonstrated her abilities in the role of actress with stunning performances on television shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7 and Under the Dome. The first time she was noticed was for her role as Anna in the 2005 movie Assault on Precinct 13. Her performance in the biographical film All the Way as the women's right activists Fannie Lou Hammer was a major draw for the attention of the public. Her portrayal of Harriet Tubman on WGN America's period drama Underground was also highly appreciated.
